How to close or delete your Yahoo!

Log in to your account and click the Delete your Yahoo account page. To find this, click the Help link in the top bar of the page. Then click Account at the bottom of the help page. After entering this page, select Create or delete account> Close your Yahoo account> Close your account.
Re-enter your login information, which means re-enter your login information. This ensures that no one closes your account in their location if you do not notice your email opening on another computer.
How to end your account notification
Deleting your Yahoo account will remove your access to all Yahoo services, including Yahoo! Mail, Flickr, contacts and others. Of course, do not forget to unsubscribe from any paid service before deleting your account. Otherwise, you will continue to be charged.

To confirm the deletion of your account, please re-enter your password after reading the last page of the account notification. You should also fill out the CAPTCHA to prove it is not a robot. To complete, click Yes to delete the account.
Know that Yahoo will keep your data on file for another 90 days and that the foreclosure process can not be reversed.
Note: Do not use or attempt to access your account for 90 days and it will be deleted.

Yahoo Mail has a new feature

Yahoo is testing a number of new upgrades to the free Yahoo Mail service that when completed will allow users to share photos more easily with friends and family members. The new service "PhotoMail" will allow users to insert up to 300 photos into an e-mail and send them to hundreds of people at once. This type of e-mail can be sent easily because each thumbnail of the image is only 3-5 kilobytes. All images inserted into the e-mail will be processed by the Yahoo server, allowing displaying the actual resolution of the image when the user clicks the thumbnail. Inserted into e-mail using drag & drop (from computer hard drive or from website). In order to use the PhotoMail service, users need a normal Yahoo Mail account and may need to install a small piece of software. With the introduction of PhotoMail, Yahoo also added spam-blocking capabilities and added support for six additional languages. Currently, Yahoo Mail is available in 21 different languages.

Yahoo Mail Classic is dead
